Estou com um dificuldade e gostaria da ajuda de vocês.
Estou fazendo um site e na pagina inicial deixei para ser exibido apenas as 3 ultimas postagens e mostrar somente de uma determinada categoria.
Porem quando eu uso o codigo
<?php query_posts('cat=1'); ?> que faz mostrar somente os posts da categoria 1, ao clicar-se no botão "Mostrar posts mais antigos" os posts mais antigos não são mostrados, fica travado nos 3 ultimos posts.Porem se eu retirar o o codigo "<?php query_posts('cat=1'); ?>" eu consigo mostrar os posts mais antigos porem aparece as outras categorias que não podem aparecer.
Estou usando o wordpress 3.0 e o thema que vem padrão no wordpress 3.0 o thema "Twenty Ten 1.0" porem modifiquei para ficar da forma que preciso.
Alguem poderia dar uma idéia sobre o que posso fazer.

O tema que estou usando não usa o <?php posts_nav_link(); ?>
Vou postar abaixo o codigo que creio que faça essa questão da paginação, se tiver alguma ideia sobre o que posso mudar ficarei muito grato.

Já tentou alterar o mx_num_pages 1? Colocando um numero maior de páginas ex:

Só para ver o que acontece.. se não explodir o pc beleza :D

Já alterei sim o valor de max_num_pages para um numero grande, porem não resolveu.
A unica coisa que funciona para mostrar os posts mais antigos é se eu tirar a linha " <?php query_posts('cat=1'); ?> " porem sem essa linha de codigo aparece as outras categorias de posts que não podem aparecer.
Cara, vou postar abaixo o codigo completo dessa pagina. Se voce puder fazer o favor de analisar e ver se consegue encontrar alguma coisa, seria ótimo.

Query_post funciona também com combinação de parâmetros Ex:
<?php query_posts('cat=1&show_posts=10&exclude='); ?>
Mas esse lance de ver posts mais antigos não é relacionado a paginação do tema? (Página 1 2 3 4 5 de 15 Páginas)?
O Wordpress até tem uma função para puxar essa paginação
