[Resolvido] Pesquisar registos por Data

Olá a todos,

O meu problema é o seguinte: Quero fazer uma pesquisa utilizando a data. Neste momento tenho uma pagina com um form onde é introduzida a data que é enviada para a página onde é feita a pesquisa. O campo data na base de dados é DATE e o formato é aaaa-mm-dd. Acontece que faço a pesquisa mas não retorna nada e não estou a perceber porque.

Alguém sabe o que se está a passar?

Além disso, como faço para garantir que utilizador intraduz a data no formato certo (aaaa-mm-dd)?
