Image Pyramid

Tenho uma dúvida que é o seguinte: na hora de salvar um Tiff ou um Psd aparece um campo para marcar: save image pyramid. O que é isso? Deve ser marcado para web ou para gráfica? O que é afinal?

Galera, tem uma coisa mto util no Photoshop, q ajuda na hora de tirar essas duvidas, é o HELP.

É só olhar la q vcs acham a resposta na hora. O do PS CS parece um livro.

Save Image Pyramid Preserves multiresolution information. Photoshop does not provide options for opening multiresolution files; the image opens at the highest resolution within the file. However, Adobe InDesign and some image servers provide support for opening multiresolution formats.

E eis o q achei numa pagina falando de formatos e tal:

When saving as a TIFF, make sure that you are not using LZW compression. Also, if you are using Photoshop 7.0, make sure that the 'Save Image Pyramid' box is unchecked. Files saved with either of these conditions will not be printable. When saving as a JPEG, make sure that the 'Progressive' file option is not selected. Progressive JPEGs, used in some web pages, will not be printable.
