Php + Host = page not found

Boa tarde pessoal, meu primeiro tópico por aqui então espero estar postando isso no lugar certo, desculpem caso contrario. La vai minha duvida...

Um desenvolvedor (freelancer) fez um sistema pra mim e estou tentando upa-lo num host.
Quando executado localmente (Easyphp ou Xampp) tudo roda normalmente, agora quando upados os arquivos para o host, ao tentar acessar o domínio o retorno eh '404 - page not found'

P.s. já upei os arquivos em 3 hosts diferentes, sempre o mesmo erro.


Como teste eu alterei meu index para o comando mais simples possível:

   echo "Ola, Mundo!";
?>

E o site abriu e exibiu o "Ola Mundo!", garantindo assim o funcionamento do php no host, certo?

hmm, pouca informação para ajuda-lo. Será que o código do index tem algum include para uma pag que vc não upou? Como está o .htaccess do seu host? Alguma regra que nâo faz sentido?

Então, não possuo conhecimento em php, o desenvolvedor jogou a coisa no meu colo 'pronta' e tenho que 'apenas' upar tudo no host, entende?

O CodeIginter.php está no servidor né?

 

Provavelmente o BASEPATH está configurado com um caminho inválido. Você pode fazer uma busca por BASEPATH e conferir junto com o path do novo servidor.

Cara, obrigadão pela ajuda até agora.... seguinte o codeigniter.php está dentro da pasta /system/core/ e segue o código dele abaixo:
Eu tentei mudar o BASE URL no arquivo config.php e também não obtive sucesso.....

Mais alguma sugestão?

Mas qual é o basepath que vc utilizou?

 

Faz um arquivo php.php com <? phpinfo(); ?> e coloque no servidor. Vá até a página e erique o valor da variavel SCRIPT_FILENAME. Tenta usar o diretório dele substituindo o valor do basepath.

Ou o caminho ainda está errado ou o arquivo CodeIgniter.php não foi upado. Lendo o código, parece que o sistema tem vários paths que devem ser configurados. Esse script não tem um instalador?
