[Resolvido] Não consigo instalar temas para meu Ubuntu

OPa....

 

Bom gente, estou com um pequeno probleminha.

Há alguns temas (cursores, icones, e outros) que não consigo instalar.

Quando vou em Sistema>Preferencias>Tema, faço tudo normal, clico para selecionar o tema que baixei da net daí aparecem as seguintes mensagens:

 

Em alguns casos aparece: "O formato de arquivo é inválido" (isso em arquivos zip e tar.gz, baixados do próprio gnome-look)

E em outros aparece algo do tipo: "Não foi possível achar um arquivo instalável" (algo parecido com isso)

 

Creio que o problema não é grande, mas não estou conseguindo resolver.

 

Sera que alguém poderia me ajudar?

Bom, 1º baixei o tema o site:

2º escolhir esse tema por exemplo para colocar no pc:

 

 

 

3º os procedimentos que fiz para tentar instalar o tema mais não deu certo, extrai o tema para a area de trabalho para ver se instalava mais não tive sucesso...

 

 

 

 

Queria que o meu pc fica-se com o tema que acabei de escolher na foto que postei, fotos icones tudo do jeito que está lá..

Mais o procedimento que eu estava fazendo é esse mesmo?

 

 

Na hora que eu instalar o tema que escolher vai tudo que está lá não é?: Ex: papel de parede, icones, relogio todas aquelas coisas que está mostrando no tema que vou baixar....

Mudar a aparencia do boot do linux

 

 

Bom fiz um Dual boot na minha maquina- Windows e Linux no mesmo HD - na mesma maquina, como falei para você em postes anteriores..

 

Agora quero saber se tem como mudar a aparencia do boot do linux e tirar aquele monte de nomes de ficam quando inicializa o pc...

 

Quero que fique só assim:

 

Linux Ubuntu

Windows XP.

 

 

Tem como agente melhorar essa aparencia preta do boot do Linux ou não? se tem, é dificil?

 

Queria sua ajuda nesse sentido..

Cara tentei mudar a aparencia do boot do linux pelo site que você me indicou mais não deu certo:

 

Vou colocar os passos que fiz:

 

1º passo:

 

baixe o Splashy aqui, ele substituirá o Usplash baixe o Splashy e salvei na area de trabalho...

 

2º passo:

 

Com seu ubuntu devidamente configurado:

 

Logue como root no terminal e digite o comando:

 

root@ubuntu# aptitude remove usplash

 

ou como usuário normal, se o sudo estiver ativado:

 

usuario@ubuntu$ sudo aptitude remove usplash

 

pronto, usplash removido..

 

OBS: entrei como root digitando o comando no terminal sudo su ele logou como root mais quando coloquei o comando root@ubuntu# aptitude remove usplash naõ deu certo conforme a foto que postei para você ver...

 

 

 

 

Agora os procedimentos para instalar o splashy é esse: mais como vou realizar esse procedimento se nem consegui remover o usplash, conforme comando que o autor postou no site... está faltando alguma coisa!!!....

 

ainda no terminal(como root):

 

root@ubuntu# dpkg -i splashy_0.1.8.1-1_i386.deb

 

ou com o SUDO

 

usuario@ubuntu$ sudo dpkg -i splashy_0.1.8.1-1_i386.deb

 

Instalação finalizada, vamos à configuração

 

Precisamos que seu boot agora inicie numa tela de 1024×768, para isso editaremos o arquivo:

 

/boot/grub/menu.lst

 

procure as linhas que dizem respeito ao seu ubuntu e adicione o parâmetro vga=791 à linha do seu kernel

exemplo:

 

title Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.15-26-k7

root (hd1,0)

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.15-26-k7 root=/dev/hdb1 ro quiet splash

 

initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.15-26-k7
